Shankaboot

March 17, 2010

During the past few days,  I have received several emails about Shankaboot, the first Arabic web-based drama done in Beirut, Lebanon.

I managed to watch 2 episodes tonight on YouTube.  They are worth watching, and I am curious to see how this story will unravel.

This is the first episode:

About the project (from Shankaboot)

Shankaboot– the world’s first Arabic webdrama – takes us into the beating heart of modern Beirut street life through the eyes of Suleiman, our 15 year old, happy-go-lucky delivery boy. Along for the ride are the beautiful Ruwaida and the mysterious Chadi, along with a host of other memorable characters.

Shankaboot – the point and click game. Each episode is accompanied by it’s own point and click game. Guess the clues and see if you can get the top score

Shankaboot – WAHEED EL-BOOZ. Shankaboot’s comedy electrician causes madness and chaos wherever he goes. Watch new episodes of Waheed El-Booz released alongside new episodes of Shankaboot.

Shankaboot is produced by Batoota Films in Association the BBC World Service Trust with the support of Zico House and The Welded Tandem Picture Company.

yup 🙂 I saw your email today.
I received 6 emails on the topic so far.

Did you go to the launch? One of the links I received is from Liliane’s blog, and another from +961. Seems like Lebanese bloggers were invited for the preview at the Art Lounge…

    Get back to blogging… puh-leeeeeeez 😉
